Elite Mini STORM

Offering clinics 3rd-4th grades!

 

If you have taken Mini STORM before, this is a clinic you should take next. We want to continue to teach players more advanced skills for out of system plays that happen often in game like situations. Skill development will focus on recovering a ball out of net, how to play a set that is not to target, overhand play on 3rd touch, targeting areas on the court during serve and attacks.

 

This clinic gives an opportunity for players to learn the proper techniques for passing, setting, serving, and hitting. Club coaches focus on advancing to set up offense and defense on the court including running pass, set, hit plays, learning appropriate placement on the court, and how to read and anticipate a play!

 

Clinic goals:

  • Learning how to set

  • Passing platform

  • Hitting form

  • Overhand serve

PSA 1

  • Grades 3th & 4th

  • Friday

  • 5:00pm-6:00pm

  • 1 practice per week – 1 hour full court

  • 4 weeks

  •  2/7, 2/21, 2/28, 3/6  * No class on 2/14 because of PSA Basketball Playoffs

 

Game on 

Offering clinics 7th&8th grades!

This is an advanced clinic to take basic volleyball skills and progress them into high intensity, game like situations! At the 7th and 8th grade levels, players need to be able to translate basic skills into a faster pace drills and improve their understanding of how to strategize plays. Game On will focus on 6 vs 6, team drills and advance skills into a team atmosphere. This is a great clinic for middle school level athletes to prepare for other summer programs or for upcoming school and club tryouts!

 

Clinic goals:

  • Translating basic skills into game like situations

  • Focus on pass, set, hit strategy

  • Placement of serves

  • Team communication to run plays

  • Prepare for school and club tryouts

PSA2

  • Grades 7th & 8th

  • Wednesday

  • 6:00pm-7:00pm

  • 1 practice per week – 1 hour full court

  • 4 weeks

  •  2/5, 2/19, 2/26, 3/4   * No class on 2/12 because of PSA Basketball Playoffs

Level up

Offering clinics 5th&6th grades!

As players are progressing from elementary age to middle school, so does the level of volleyball! The net height increases and the weight of the volleyball changes. This clinic is to allow 5th and 6th graders the level up! This is an all skills clinic using regular, 7’4” net height and regular volleyballs to begin to prepare these age groups for middle school volleyball or higher level recreational teams.

 

Starting at 7th grade, middle school volleyball, players use 7’4” net height and regular volleyballs. Additionally, 6th grade recreational teams use regular volleyballs. (For reference, club volleyball 5th & 6th grade use Volley Lites and 7’0” net.)


 

Clinic goals:

  • Advance training with net height and regular volleyball

  • Overhand serve

  • Pass to target

  • Improved setting form and where to set

  • Hitting approach and technique

PSA2

  • Grades 5th & 6th

  • Wednesdays

  • 5:00pm-6:00pm

  • 1 practice per week – 1 hour full court

  • 4 weeks

Elite All Skills

Offering clinics 7th-9th grades!

Advanced players on club level only.

 

This is an advanced clinic to progress basic skills. Coaches will incorporate more intense, team drills into skills training. The focus will be on correcting form for passing, setting, and hitting and initiating these skills into game-like situations. Players will review offensive strategies and defensive transitions to improve movement on the court. Overhand float serve technique will be reviewed and players will be taught how to begin placing/zoning serves. This clinic is great for players looking to continue to advance skills into a higher level!

 

Clinic goals:

  • Overhand float serve

  • Passing angles

  • Offensive strategies

  • Defense transitions

  • Technique/form: hitting, setting, passing
