Amanda Kayser

Club Director

14 National White Coach

Coach Amanda grew up in northwest Washington state where she played club competitively and with her school since the age of 11, specializing in playing libero/defensive specialist. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She started coaching while in college 12 years ago. Her coaching passion is to build strong foundational skill and correct technique from a young age while implementing a strong intention of applying and maintaining injury prevention to her coaching philosophy. She believes in appropriate court behavior, improving habits through positive feedback, self encouragement, and creating team focused athletes. She specializes in movement analysis and correction to improve skill. Amanda brings her expertise in sport specific strength and conditioning and post injury return-to-play to Storm Volleyball Club.



Juliana Rogers

Club Director

14 National White Coach

Coach Juliana grew up in Flower Mound, TX and played for Dallas Force (now Storm) from 2002 to 2006, winning the Lone Star Classic in 2006. She went on to play Middle Blocker at Cornell University and was co-captain of the team her senior season. Since graduating from Cornell, Juliana has coached recreational and club volleyball for more than 8 years in the North Texas region. She holds an MA/MBA from SMU and works as a project manager in the sports & entertainment industries. 



Shelley Brewster

Assistant Club Director

13 National and 13 Regional Coach

Coach Shelley grew up in Carrollton, TX and played competitive volleyball as a defensive specialist and setter. She also played for her high school team as a libero and has played recreation volleyball for 10 years. She holds a degree from the University of North Texas in Elementary Education and currently works as a teaching assistant. This will be Shelley’s 5th year coaching club and working with the girls to develop their skills.



Sofia Martin

11 Regional Head Coach

Coach Sofia played competitively for 8+ years in Brazil. She was offered a scholarship to play in high school at Colégio Americano Academy. She has played in multiple National Championships, premier clubs, and local adult leagues. This will be her 8th year coaching club volleyball. Sofia is currently full time PSA Volleyball Director and Coach for Storm.  She has a Master’s in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Architecture and Urbanism.  “As a coach my main goal is pass my enthusiasm and passion to the athletes and always striving for the players achieve the best form in every volleyball skill.”



Ozzy Gonzalez

12 National Head Coach

Coach Ozzy was born and raised in Cuba, where he played and excelled in different sports. After moving to the US, and eventually Texas, he began to coach his two daughters in volleyball at PSA. After coaching his daughters for several years, his love for coaching volleyball and becoming a mentor to up coming players took off. He has been a dedicated coach at PSA since 2012, coaching up to 4 teams a season in different age groups. His biggest goal while coaching at Storm Volleyball Club is to guide players to develop new skills in order to get them to peak performance and improvement.



Sierra Vernon

13 National and 13 Regional Coach

Coach Sierra grew up in The Colony, TX where she played school volleyball from 7th grade- 12th grade as well as playing club volleyball for 7 years. She was a three-year varsity player at The Colony and a First Team All-District selection. She then continued to play volleyball for two years where she was a middle blocker, both years making appearances in the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history.  Sierra has coached recreational and club volleyball for 6 years in the North Texas region.



Jorge Rodriguez

14 National Black Head Coach

Coach Jorge started playing volleyball when he was just 8 years old. He received many awards throughout his middle and high school years, paving the way for his college transition. He started with a scholarship to play for INCCA University for his first 5 years, while obtaining a degree in Sports Science.


After completing his degree, he received another scholarship to play for UDCA University as an opposite hitter. While continuing to play, he obtained his post degree in Sports Training. He also assisted his team in winning the regional championship that year and runner up in the National College Tournament.


Jorge has played at the top professional level, with various teams in his country from 2007 to 2011. During that time, he also played professional beach volleyball. 


During his professional play, Coach Jorge was a two time 4th place finisher in the National Indoor Tournament, champion of the Elite Cup Qualifier, two time 2nd finisher in the National Beach Volleyball Tour, and a National Champion in Beach Volleyball.


Coach Jorge started his career as a club and high school coach in 2005. After 4 years, he moved up to coach universities and professional teams: while Head Coach at the FUAC University, they qualified for the regional finals; as Head coach of the UDCA University women's team for 4 years, they achieved a regional 3th place finish; qualified for national finals while Head Coach of UDCA University Beach Volleyball program; qualified for nationals as Head Coach of Bogota's Professional Beach Volleyball Team; and served as Team staff for Colombia’s national Beach Volleyball Team for 1 year.


After many years of coaching experience, he received a scholarship for an elite program that consisted of 14 coaches from around the world, to take the "International Training Kourse" at the Leipzig University in Germany. 


Coach Jorge is certified as an FIVB Coach, USAV Coach and has been certified in Colombia, Spain and Germany.


Shortly after moving to the USA, Coach Jorge continued his coaching as an assistant coach with Cedar Valley College and with Pure Athlete Volleyball Club as Head Coach and Director for three years.

Lauren Manning

15 National Head Coach

Coach Lauren grew up in Wills Point, TX where she played school volleyball through 12th grade, she also played club volleyball in Rockwall, TX. Lauren continued to play collegiate volleyball for two years where she was an outside hitter and Libero. She received her B.A. in Psychology and has a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health. Lauren has 3 years experience in coaching volleyball camps for players in 1st - 9th grade. Lauren enjoys watching players advance in volleyball through their skills as well as leadership. She loves to encourage and push players when it comes to hustling and being aggressive. "The game of volleyball is never the same, every time a player steps on the court it is a new experience and they will learn something with every point."



KB Gammon

15 National Assistant Coach

Coach KB grew up in Plano, Texas. She played club volleyball at Summit/Nitro for 6 years and played at John Paul II high school. KB was an outside and right side hitter. In college, she played beach volleyball at Spring Hill college. Coach KB also started coaching club for Lower Alabama Volleyball club while in college. This past May she graduated with a BA in English and history. Currently, Coach KB is pursuing a career in Strength and Conditioning.



Shannon Matsumoto


Coach Shannon hails from Jacksonville Florida and graduated in Atlanta Georgia where she won All district honors in High school. After securing a full scholarship from Florida State University at the age of 16, she played for Cecile Reynaud at FSU as a 4-year starter and Varsity Athlete, where the team made 2 national tournament appearances and Garnished top 20 rankings.

Shannon has been coaching club in the Dallas area for over 20 years, including coaching at PSA. She believes in Fundamental skill training, Positive instruction and instilling a love for the game of volleyball. She has been blessed to see players go on to play varsity high school and college level and has coached in several National tournaments. 

Her passion is coaching young players and seeing them develop through participation and instruction both on and off the court. One of her favorite quotes is “The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." – Phil Jackson
